The Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Indonesia participates in carrying out global commitments in reducing greenhouse gas emissions or carbon dioxide (CO2) by 29% in 2030. Each sub-sector in the national agricultural sector plays a role in reducing emissions, for example broilers poultry farming sub-sector. Chickens contribute to emissions because when they evaporate, they produce 3.45 kg CO2 kg eq- per day per production cycle. One effort that can be done is to do feed management so that when it evaporates, it does not produce high emissions.
Baku Application helps farmers to optimize broiler production. Feed use can be reduced by up to 10% and FCR can be decreased by up to 20%. So that the resulting emissions can be reduced to 3.17 kg of CO2 eq- per day per production cycle. This is in line with the government’s efforts to prevent climate change. So in addition to reducing production costs, reducing animal feed has a good effect on the environment.
