The Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Indonesia supports Indonesia’s commitment to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 29% by 2030 under its Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC). The agricultural sector, including broiler poultry farming, plays an important role in achieving this target.
In broiler production, emissions mainly come from feed production, manure management, and energy use. Improving feed efficiency and lowering the Feed Conversion Ratio (FCR) are effective ways to reduce emissions intensity, as fewer resources are used per kilogram of chicken produced.
Baku helps farmers optimize feed management and production performance through data-driven insights. Based on field results, feed use can be reduced by up to 37% and FCR can be improved by up to 24%. This efficiency not only lowers production costs but also reduces the carbon footprint of broiler farming, supporting national climate goals.
